Is the ExcelForum forum defunct?

You should be able to choose your server quite easily? I just have to click on a location from my VPN provider to change all over the world
I don't normally use a VPN. I have no particular reason to. The one I use on occasion is Proton, and the free version does not allow you to choose a server.

I just checked, and, admittedly I have not been there in a few months, but it is completely loaded down with ads. Popups, banners and footers.

I do not remember those before.

Your browser might be blocking it because of all the ad content on it?
You shouldn't see ads if you have an account and are logged in. The error message is not a client-side message, it's a server error that indicates that an intermediate server, probably a proxy, got an error from or could not get a response from the target server.

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Still down for me, 50 hours and counting.

Interestingly, I can ping it at 104.21.5.216, but it doesn't allow a direct IP connection for HTTP.

Tried using a custom DNS instead of the default one?
What do you mean specifically? You mean add an entry to my host file with a different domain name to resolve to the same IP address?
