Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Hi smozgur and thanks for the great add-in!
However, with my usual workbook, even if I add a new blank sheet and try the "Mini Sheet" on a random range with just some random static "ABC" text, it hangs forever (without any error).
On a new workbook, it works.
Can I please send you my workbook via private message so that you can test it?

Thank you so much!
D.

Hello, D

I started a conversation with you. That would be great if you could upload your workbook on the cloud and share the link with me.

Thanks.

Thank you for reporting this issue.

The merged cells are not only a problem for the entire Excel ecosystem but also a big problem for the XL2BB add-in. We had a similar issue with data validation vs merged cells except it certainly has no solution. Now, looking at this one and it looks like XL2BB could handle this problem with a proper fix (although it is not actually XL2BB's fault).

Until the update, you can disable Named Ranges in XL2BB options to generate XL2BB mini-sheets in this particular workbook that contains named ranges in the merged cells (Sample range: Tools!B15).

Notes for development:
Handle merged cells in the named range.

Wow, thank you very much smozgur for finding and hopefully fixing the problem! :-)

I have been busy making and refining LAMBDAs for a while now. I uploaded two to the LAMBDA forum using XL2BB. Now everytime I use it I get a Visual Basic run-time error 1004: reference isn't valid

I uninstalled and reinstalled it several times to no avail. I'm not sure what cause this. I haven't messed with any settings. I have the latest version of Microsoft 365

@schardt679: it is a bug in the recent Insider update. Please see the following and my next posts in the following link:

Basically, even it fails, due to the bug, it still copies the necessary XL2BB code in the clipboard. Just paste as you would do like you get the confirmation message from the XL2BB add-in.
We reported the bug. It is supposed to be fixed tomorrow or maybe next week.

Thanks for the heads up. My quick search yielded no results so I came here
