Hi,

This is an interesting issue. I have a variable declared as a STRING.

When assigning the value from a cell which takes the form of 12345678998765400 the variable appears to stored as a number and shows it as 1.23457E+16 and not the string text that I want.

Does anyone known why this should happen and/or how I'd go about actually capturing the string text?

StrVar will always remain a String even if it displays numbers .

One way to remove the Scientific notation :

Code:
StrVar = Format(Cell.Value, "0")
