<colgroup><col width="70" span="3" style="width:53pt"> </colgroup><tbody>
ID
Name

89100
John
TRUE

89100
John
TRUE

89100
Ken
FALSE
</tbody>
As I mentioned, in order for this formula to work, you wlll need to have your two columns sorted, so all the "like" records for a person are in a row.
So first sort your data, with ID as your primary sort and Debtor Name as your secondary sort.

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
i have just noticed that if the spell of the name is incorrect i would have duplicate ids. Would it be possible to have only on id ?

Thanks

I am not sure what you mean.
If you have typos, the values will be different, so they will be treated as different people.
I am not sure what you want to do about that, because if the values are different, how is Excel supposed to know the difference between different people and typos?

would it be a way to filter the duplicats by the id from the column A?
For what purpose?
What is it that you are ultimately trying to accomplish by doing this?
