#N/A Issue

I can not get these two formulas to return either a 0 value or remain blank when the prior cells have not had any input entered. All I get is that #N/A. Since the #N/A is coming up, I am unable to get the column to total up at the bottom of the spreadsheet. Any help?

Thanks.

=VLOOKUP(C17,InstallRate,2,FALSE)

or

=E17*K17

I haven't been able to breakdown any of the more complex formulas having this issue.

Welcome to the board.

Try IFERROR
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(C17,InstallRate,2,FALSE),0)
=IFERROR(E17*K17,0)
