Hey all!

I'm converting calculations from Imperial units to si units, but can't get it to match. I don't know if I did some conversion error or what is wrong. Or I'm blind.o_O

The red should match up the green

I need your expertise.

Regards M

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
No, the green is the wrong one: you are adding together feet (B11) and inches (B5).

Your cell E11 value is wrong. Should be 0.21615288 (i.e. 8.509955916 inches <> 2.593834563 meters)

0.216153

Thanks! You are right! Can you see what I did wrong?
My brain is over cooked
0.21615288 =(E8^2)*E2*(1+2*E$10/E1/E8)*2

I could if you could post it using XL2BB, which would allow me to paste both values and formulas into a worksheet to analyze. The graphic image is too hard to work with.

BTW, if you post a graphic image of your data, the number of people willing to manually type in your data to experiment to help you will be limited. Consider using this free tool instead to post some sample data.

@ rlv01: Before diving any deeper, take a look at the formula in cell B11. It uses only ft, s, fps, and ft/s2, and it has no conversion into inches. So, the number in cell B11 is in feet, not in inches. Then, in cell B13, feet (B11) and inches (B5) are summed without any conversion, which is obviously wrong.
