Hi,

I want to be able to format a cell so that if it is empty I get a blank cell, instead of a 0. Which is what I was getting

I have formatting all of my lookup cells as Custom : ""

This leaves them blank when the lookup return a null

But there must be an easier way to format all of my cells (not just my lookups) to appear blank if there is no value?

Certainly does for me. If you use
General;;
then the second section (in between the two semicolons) is for negative numbers and nothing is displayed.

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
rorya,
Actually I wrote "0;-0;;". As you see, negative numbers are not hidden.
