I have item names out of my accounting system with a number at the front that denotes the month that the item became available (I have a separate column for the year). The item names are varying lengths and the leading numbers are too because if it comes out in May, the number is 5, but if it comes out in October, the number is 10.

Like so:
5 Widget
5 Different Widget
5 Another Widget
10 New Widget
10 Improved Widget

I want to get the month number into its own column. I have months 1-12 so I can't just write a formula to say if it's a 5 or a 10, do X. It would be exceedingly difficult to change the item names with a single digit (1-9) to 01-09 so that they would be the same number of characters as the two-digit months.

Thanks in advance for your help!
