highlighting individual differences

if in cell 1 I have 1JK3L and cell 2 has 1IK2M, is there a way to just highlight differences, so J3L would be highlighted or something in cell 1 and I2M in cell 2?

Heres a macro that could do it:

Range("A1:B1").Font.Color = vbBlack

For i = 1 To Len(Range("A1"))
    If Mid(Range("A1"), i, 1) <> Mid(Range("B1"), i, 1) Then
        Range("A1:B1").Characters(i, 1).Font.Color = vbRed
    End If
