I need to find a formula or macro that will allow me to highlight rows based on teh values in a cell. below you have a column so I would want to highlight the two rows with apples, no highlight for pears and highlight again for oranges.

For instance

Column A
Apples
Apples
Pears
Pears
Pears
Oranges
Oranges

I hope this makes sense and that someone can help.

there is probably a better solution but how about using conditional formatting and a formula like this:
=MATCH(A1,{"test","anothervalue"},0)>0
