S1 is my macro template.
S2 is the actual report which gets a new tab each month. Ex. T1-Jan T2-Feb- etc- to current month.

Sometimes there are changes to S2. So, I want a system to cross check if anything has changed.

Exaple.

S1 n S2 look identical unless a new loan type was added.

So - I want to do this simple formula but for S2 active tab-sheet.

Say I do this on S1 any cell of my choice "=A8=S2 active sheet A8"
S1 =A8="S2 A8" works but once I make a new tab - The formula references the old tab.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Re: Help finding a formula to reference a cell between two spreadsheets

Yes - it looks exactly like that.

=A93='[Month End Reports Macros.xlsm]LNST Template'!$A$93

This is me doing =Ax on the LNST wb =A93 on Month End Macro WB.

The first one is me doing =Ax on the month end macro =Ax on the LNST wb

That is a bit different than our original formula.

What does your exact INDIRECT formula look like right now?

Also, when you are doing these tests (comparing the formula), are you doing the from the EXACT same workbook AND worksheet?
It matters, as references change depending on where you are doing them from.
