Finding the third Thursday date of every month for the year 2017

Hi,

So I am new here, and also interested in learning how to code formulas in excel. I am using excel 2016.

Would you be so kind to share a formula for "Finding the third Thursday date of every month for the year 2017"

Example:
A1: Formula
A2: input Year
A3: 1/19/2017
A4: 2/16/2017
...
Until 12/21/2017

Initially this was not working as I assumed it should since FlameRetired was giving praise.
I found that cell A2 had to be formatted as General, or at Number (with no decimal places for tidiness).
Then with A3:A15 formatted as Date I was happy. Pity that our original poster hasn't apparently been back.

I like that solution even better. I see that the "3" relates to the which Thursday we require and in the bitmap of days the "0" sets our day. Question about that (though I could probably 'google' the syntax) does the week start with Sunday or Monday in those values?

Monday, but you should look the function up in the help files as there are other arguments possible.
