Stephen...this looks like a brilliant solution, however, I have copied you post #40 and validated that the formulae agree with above - all I get is a 0 (zero) value in the rank fields. I recreated your exact sheet, including columns and rows - no luck (as well, I used the Named Range "N"); my 2nd thought was that the formula was an array...same result (0's). I must be missing something and just can't find my error.

Stephen...Outstanding job, I couldn't be happier - a truly brilliant solution. I figured out why I was having difficulties...fyi, I am using Office Pro 2013...the "Tie Break" formulae in Post #42 are Arrays and I was using a straight formula ("DUHHHHH..." on my part).
You have been so patient and professional in helping me through this...I just can't thank you enough.

Partly my fault. I'm enjoying Excel 365, with arrays spilling and scalars evaluating as you'd reasonably expect, and happily forgetting whether or not I'd previously have to array-enter.
