VBA Code:

I am trying to keep two merge fields together in a Word mail merge--I would like Address3 which is city, state, to stay on the same line as Postal. In the Word document, non-breaking spaces accomplish this, but I am unable to code the non-breaking spaces into Excel in such a way that they don't get converted to regular spaces upon import. This is a merge of 800+ records.

Any suggestions?

Yes it is, but I want to avoid these bad breaks. And I'm trying not to have to manually adjust a document of over 800 records. Plus, the template is reused and any hard-coding in word causes issues when the data is recompiled.
Is it not just wrapping the text because there is not enough space to insert all of the data?

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)

Yes it is, but I am trying to avoid these bad breaks without manually manipulating a document of 800+ records. Plus any hard coding done in word, messes up the data the next time it is compiled and pulled in.

There seems to only be a few options. Change the font size, change the page margin or put the phone numbers vertically (one below the other) to increase horizontal space.
