Dear all,

I have a question about a case in excel.

I am doing a research with the following information. In column A, I have the name of the buyer company, column B name of the different purchased companies marked in yellow, blue or green depending on certain characteristics. I would like to mark the companies in column A in different colors or some other way as described below.

column A column B
Martin Marietta Materials Inc green
Martin Marietta Materials Inc blue
Rayonier Inc green
Rayonier Inc green
Rayonier Inc green
Emmis Commun Corp yellow
Emmis Commun Corp yellow
Emmis Commun Corp yellow
Emmis Commun Corp blue
Emmis Commun Corp yellow
Emmis Commun Corp yellow
Emmis Commun Corp blue

I would like to mark the companies in column A in different colors:
orange: if only yellow cells in column B opposite the specific company in column A
red: if only blue cells in column B opposite the specific company in column A
pink: if only green cells in column B opposite the specific company in column A
brown: if yellow, blue and green cells in column B opposite the specific company in column A
grey: if yellow of blue cells in column B opposite the specific company in column A

Do you know a suitable function in excel or Macros that can help with the formatting, because I have tens of thousands of companies.

I hope it is clear and thank you very much in advance!

Kind regards,
Titinka
