I have a report in which I want to list all the claims a person filed in table format. The problem is, the number of claims can vary from person-to-person. Is it possible to do this (create a variable length table) in an Access report?

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Yes, depending on how your tables are set up. I'd envisage a one to many relationship between a table of claimants and a table of claims linked by the claimant ID (primary key in the claimant table, foreign key in the claims table). Simply create a report based on your claimants table and then stick in a subreport based on your claims table.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

One more question. Can I display it on the report so that it prints out looking like a table complete with gridlines?

Try aligning everything together and reducing any header sections to exclude white space, then just use a black border around your text boxes and labels. It's probably easier to do if you don't use the wizard as that locks you into the rubbish autoformats.
