Good Afternoon All,

I am trying to format a celll to turn green based on the last numbers in another cell.

So G5 says Machined components = 150 and I want G18 to turn green if the total matches the number after the = in G5. I also want G18 to be orange if the 150 is not met.

Can this be done?

I have tried using right function, but cannot seem to get it to work. I have also tried =VALUE(RIGHT($G$5, 3)), but thgis turns it permanately green.

Thanks in advance
Rusty

If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Try these formulas in CF:
To see if equal to 150: =VALUE(MID(G5,FIND("=",G5)+1,100)) = 150
To see if not equal to 150: =VALUE(MID(G5,FIND("=",G5)+1,100)) <> 150

Thanks for the quick reply Joe4.

Unfortunately this turns the cell green no matter what the number is.

Please provide a data example that you have that turns green that shouldn't.
