VBE - reset windows view?

I messed up my VBE view a minute ago and can't get it back?

I think this is the DEFAULT VBE view?

1. Project Explorer in the uppr left corner.

2. Proerties window was under the Project Explorer

3. Code window was on the Right.

How did you "mess it up?"

I was cleaning the mouse and when I looked up all I had open was the Code window...

It's possible that you just managed to close those windows.

Go to the View menu and choose Project Explorer and then do the same for Properties window (or you can use Ctrl+R and F4).

Do they show up then?

I'd love to know how to reset the defaults (docking and position) because I've messed mine up too.

If it' just a case of not being able to see them choose View|Project Explorer (Ctrl+R) and View|Properties Window (F4).

Von Pookie - I can see them, but the like Andrew Poulsom stated I'd like to get them re-docked like they were. I can get them to show but not dock like they were.

By the way I just did a re-start and that DID NOT fix it...

Ok I went to Tools, Options, and the Dockable tab and got the Project and Code window to Dock I couldn't get the Properties window to dock even though is is selected...

Well I got them all docked, but

1. I don't know what I did...

2. They are not docked as they originally were...

a. Project window is all the way across the top

b. Properties window is bottom left

c. Code window bottom right

Almost there...

I don't know if this will help, or if you want to mess with your registry, but here's some info...

Problems with the VBE Properties Window
From time to time, the properties window of the Visual Basic Editor (VBE) will fail to dock properly. When this happens, users who are comfortable with-- and choose to back up--the Windows registry can rename the following key from

HKEY_USERS\Default\Software\Microsoft\VBA\Office\Dock

to

HKEY_USERS\Default\Software\Microsoft\VBA\Office\;Dock

This will solve any errant docking behavior within the VBE. If you're using Windows 2000 and Office XP, the registry key is

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VBA\6.0\Common\Dock

Editing the registry is a dangerous operation that should only be performed by an experienced user at your own risk. (Thanks to Brian Murphy for relief of this annoying problem!)
