Dear Smartest Excelers Around,

I recently installed Windows 7 (64 bit) and Excel 2010 (64 bit) and I can't seem to get the MoreFunc add-in to work.

I went to this site to download the add-in:

http://www.download.com/Morefunc/3000-2077_4-10423159.html

Then I directed the Add-in dialog box to look at the file named:

Morefunc12.xlam

I then checked the box and closed and opened Excel.

I can see the new item added to the Ribbon and I can insert functions such as MCONCAT but Excel does not recognize them (I see a #NAME! error).

Any ideas on how to get MoreFunc add-in to work in Excel 2010 (64 bit) and Windows 7 (64 bit)?

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).

I *suspect* it's the same issue that caused my htmk maker to fail for you - unfortunately Morefunc makes extensive use of various APIs in executing its functions. This is something that Laurent Longre himself would have to address in a future release as the code behind Morefunc isn't freely available.

I think if you want Morefunc to work on your compuer you would have to either 1) consider dual-booting a 32bit OS or 2) running a Virtual 32bit OS on the system under your current 64bit OS.

Re: MOREFUNC for Excel 2010

Richard:

I am having the same type of problem with MOREFUNC, running under Windows 7 - 64 bit, and Excel 2010.

Can you please tell me how: 1) dual-booting a 32bit OS or 2) run a Virtual 32bit OS under 64 bit OS.

Your help is greatly appreciated,

Fred

I got morefunc working for excel 2010 on a 32 bit machine. Is there any update for getting it working on a 64 bit machine and using excel 2010 64 bit program?

I have not found a work around for this. Any suggestions?
