Thank you in advance for your help. Please see Excel image here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2468765073152417&id=100000568443530
I am creating a payroll calendar with 3 types of clients: weekly, semi-monthly, monthly. I believe I need conditional formatting with a formula, but I need help creating the formula.
I want the cell in the calendar to look for same date in "Key Dates" column and:
fill the corresponding calendar cell yellow if "Description" column says "Semi-monthly"
or
fill the corresponding calendar cell blue if "Description" column says "Monthly"
or
fill the corresponding calendar cell green if "Description" column says "Weekly"
or
fill the corresponding calendar cell orange if "Description" column says "Holiday"
For example, if the calendar month is January and the cell date 5, the formula looks for 1/5/19 in "Key Dates" Column. If it finds it, it fills the cell yellow to signify that this is a "Semi-monthly".
Ideally, if 2 dates fall on the same calendar date, the calendar cell would fill one color and use a border for the other color. (Unless you have any better ideas...maybe the cell turns red)
