Morning all,

I have checked what I think are all the obvious things to check but when putting 2 fields into the values are I get zeros....it by default is counting them, so when I amend to sum it stays as zero

I have made sure all the numbers in the 2 fields are in fact numbers and not text
I have also made sure that the entire pivot table has no blanks

Is there anything else that I am missing ?

Thanks
Paul

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.

How exactly did you do that? If you're seeing 0 as a sum result, then either the numbers happen to add up to 0 or they are actually text.

Hi, I added a zero, paste special to all the 'numeric data' it switched the alignment from left to right

Did you remember to refresh the pivot table afterwards?
