Hi there, I have a massive workbook which is mainly inputted via user forms. I'm running excel 2010 and everything runs fine on my computer and 3 other machines I've built with similar spec.
However, I've just installed the workbook onto 2 new laptops (with same spec) and I appear to have a problem. Everything works fine for a while and then the workbook just stops updating cells.
I've been racking my brain to diagnose the problem but it keeps persisting.
Could this be down to the Office install? Or Windows update?
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks
Rob

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
I have a massive workbook
how big is massive ? how many megabytes ?
does the workbook contain lots of formulas ?
how many rows in biggest sheet ?

the workbook just stops updating cells
what is not happening ?
- formulas not updating ?
- macros failing to complete ?

Before investigating anything else I would eliminate possibility of a peculiar memory issue
- test on much smaller workbook with same functionality
- save pared-down version of the workbook (ie remove most of the historic data)
- test on both "problem" laptops
