Why does excel considers this two strings as equal

accidentally found that excel considers this two strings

!!i
AAA

as equal when (un)protecting a sheet

can someone explain me why? is it just in my pc? could it be some sort of virus?

Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.

just become a little worried about protection of my data

will need to learn about encrypting my files, special when sending them to other users
