I think I might be going mad.
I'm sure that in my previous version in Excel for Mac (2008) I could view the value of an active cell in the status bar. Since upgrading to Excel 365 I can no longer see this info in the status bar. For the sake of my sanity, will someone please help me?:confused:

Let me explain myself....When I click on a cell that contains the result of a formula, I can only see the result on the sheet itself. Is there a way of being able to see this result in the status bar when I click on the cell?

Hi @Natalie Nel, welcome to the forum!

I don't know if this is what you are looking for.
Put the following code in the events of your sheet.

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
  Application.StatusBar = ActiveCell.Value
End Sub
SHEET EVENT
Right click the tab of the sheet you want this to work, select view code and paste the code into the window that opens up.

If you want it to work on all sheets, put the following in the events of the book.
Code:
Private Sub Workbook_SheetSelectionChange(ByVal Sh As Object, ByVal Target As Range)
  Application.StatusBar = ActiveCell.Value
End Sub
ThisWorkbook EVENT
- Open the VB Editor (press Alt + F11).
- Over in the Project Explorer, double click on ThisWorkbook.
- In the white panel that then appears, paste the above code.

Or maybe someone can help us with some parameter for the book.
