I am using Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 version and created an Excel spreadsheet that contains many macros. This spreadsheet was designed to create a Quarterly Tennis Schedule based on up to 20 players and up to 3 Tennis Courts. Tennis Players are assigned based on % of play and in an attempt to spread out play among all the available players in order to maximize diversity of play. This program works great on my computer.

It has been saved using a "Microsoft Excel Macro-Enabled" extension.

I copied the spreadsheet to a thumb drive and brought it to a friends house to show him the program using his computer. He uses the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 version.

I was greatly disappointed to find that none of the macros worked. As a side note, I was able to confirm that the spreadsheet did have all the macros (based on looking under Developer, Macros). The only other fact that I did not investigate further was that when viewing the list of "macros", it appeared that the name of the macro was longer than expected by potentially including a reference to the spreadsheet name which I thought would only display when there is more than one spreadsheet open where macros exist. So... this did confuse me but I did take the time to investigate that any further at that time. I can say that no other spreadsheet was open and no other macros were active at the this time.

Can anyone provide any insight as to why the macros would not work? This is important because it is my hope to be able to share this particular spreadsheet within the community of Tennis Players.

Thanks for any thoughts you might have on this.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
You might check to see if there are any missing references (Within VBA)

VBA > Tools > References...
(Look for any checked items that start off with "MISSING:"

Also, Excel 2007 is version 12. Make sure you're using 12 or older (not 14.0 for xl 2010)
