My VBE window looks like this

I would like (for non-trivial reasons!) to turn the grey into green - or another colour.

Any suggestions, please?

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
I see what you mean. It may not be possible to change it (at least not easily).
As long as the code panes are full size (maximized), you never see that grey color background.

Yes. But what I want to do is to have a narrow band of green (or red or - - - ) around a near maximum-sized code panel, because I think it is then easier to prevent oversizing the cole panels. I quite often have 20 code panels open.

It really does not matter (within broad limits) how difficult it is to do, because one only needs to do it once)

I really don't know if it is customizable at all. If it is, it might require some very advanced programming beyond my skill level.
