Good evening,

Is it possible for VBA to create a personalised greeting, based on the user settings of a PC?
For example, if 'user A' opens a workbook stored on a shared drive, the worksheet responds by displaying "Hello user A" in cell A1.
If 'user B' opens the same workbook at a later point in time, the worksheet responds by displaying "Hello user B" in cell A1.
Is there a way to take the user from windows configuration?

Interested to hear your thoughts.

Best regards
manc

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Have a look at Environ("username")
