Hello,

I am working on making hundreds of bar charts. The bar color is a dark blue, so for visual purposes, we made the data label white. The problem is that in some instances, the bar value is so small that the white data label cannot be seen. Is there a way to write some code that changes all chart's data labels grey when the value is less than a certain number?

Thanks!
Jenny

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
What about a custom number format? Needs no VBA. I don't recall the colours available. But IIRC they are something like red, black, blue, cyan, green, etc

For say less than 100 in red, you could have custom number format something like [<100][red]#,##0;#,##0
Or whatever you needed to suit your requirements
