Using VLookup to return multiple instances

Hi
I am looking for a formula that will return the cell numbers of multiple instances of the item found using VLOOKUP. For example if I am looking for
"A123", this may occur in more than one cell in the search range. I want to be able to return all the cell reference numbers of that instance.

Look forward to hearing from anyone that can help.

Change the formula in C6 to:

=IF(ROWS(C$6:C6)<=C$4,INDEX($A$2:$A$10,
    SMALL(IF($A$2:$A$10=C$2,ROW($A$2:$A$10)-ROW($A$2)+1),

I am having trouble adapting this to my worksheet. The function described performs exactly what I would like it to do, however I am spanning multiple worksheets. Could you break down each part of the function for me so I can figure out where I need to make my changes?

The information you see in your column A example is in a different worksheet (musclesrevb) for me and spans A2:A299.

The falue being looked at is on the same worksheet as the equation and is cell A2.

The number of occurences is on the same worksheet as the equation and is in cell B12.

I am writing the function in cell B13.

I want it to return a value of Column B in the musclesrevb worksheet, from the same row as the value being looked at on that worksheet.

Musclesrevb is my source worksheet and the other worksheet is my user input page.
Cell A2 on the user input sheet changes according to what is being selected and works perfectly as is.

I just cant seem to adapt this function to my spreadsheet.

Try this...

Array entered** in B13:

=IF(ROWS(B$13:B13)>B$12,"",INDEX(musclesrevb!B:B,SMALL(IF(musclesrevb!A$2:A$299=A$2,ROW(musclesrevb!A$2:A$299)),ROWS(B$13:B13))))

** array formulas need to be entered using the key combination of CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just ENTER). Hold down both the CTRL key and the SHIFT key then hit ENTER.

Copy down until you get blanks

Assuming you want to search in A1:A100 and return a value from B1:B100 try this formula in D2, confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER and copied down

Currently, when I utilize a wildcard function in the lookup value cell, the returns (cells C3, C4, and onward) come back as #NUM! . I would like for them to come back listing out all the return values that the wildcard cell found, in text form.

Any ideas?
