UserForm within Macro

I am constructing a macro to perform sorting on different selected named ranges provided by a user form which has a combo box and I do not know what best practice is:
Call the user form from within the macro or call the macro from the user form.

I would appreciate any advice and suggested methods for following the advice.

Another question is whether combo boxes can be used with InputBox or Application.InputBox?

I add my comments:

If you are already in the userform, you can execute a code when changing data in the combobox, use the combobox_change event.

The advantage of using a combo is that you can select a data from a list, with the inputbox you don't have that advantage, you can only write one data.
