Uploading Yahoo Spreadsheet & Calculating Returns

Hello,
I'm a novice with Excel, need to calculate returns (quarterly and monthly) using spreadsheet from Yahoo, but can't figure out how to make it so that the returns are automatically calculated using the information from yahoo. Can this be done on excel?
