Hi guys,

I am trying to get a cell to say "complete" or "not complete" based on yes or no answers provided in a form (cells b3:b5 and cells b8:b10 for arguments sake).

I was trying to do the formula with colours instead of words as I have conditional formatted the section headings in the form to green when all of the answers are answered yes but understand excel wouldn't be able to support this so trying to formulate with the responses across the entire form.

Does anyone know of a formula that could help?

Thank you in advance!

Is range C18 the ONLY cell that may have a "N/A" in it?
Is the "N/A" a hard-coded value, or is it the result of a formula (and actually the "#N/A" error)?

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
There are a 4 cells in total where Yes, No or N/A can be selected from a drop down list. N/A is a hard coded value.

Can you post a sample of your data, and your complete formula (not just a screen print of part of the formula)?

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.

Managed to fix it by just retyping the formula from scratch again - thanks for your help though!

Sounds like you had a typo in there somewhere then.
Either that, or your calculation mode is set to "manual", so re-typing your formula forced a re-calculation.
