Hello,

In need of your expertise once again. I have text from a book on a spread sheet via text to columns. I have vocabulary words set in another column. I would like to have a column next to the vocab word for reference that would contain about 5 words before and after the vocab word with the vocab word bolded and underlined.

for example: vocab word = portion

this column would contain a portion of text with a vocabulary word

Is there a way in excel to do this?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

well, nothing happened

This is what I did, tell me if I missed something...

went to developer tab, selected visual basic, selected view code, copy/pasted in code, then selected run from the top tool bar

thanks for your help

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Did you insert a normal module and paste the code into it?
Then go back to Excel and use the Macro dialog box to call the macro.
