Trouble with Typing a Post on here on MrExcel

When I type a message on a MrExcel forum, it is very difficult because there is some background process running which causes the computer to miss my keystrokes and be laggy. So I have to type really slow. Like 1 key per second. I am not sure what it is. It could be the auto-save alert that appears on the bottom right of the box. It could be some kind of spell check. I have searched through the Settings, Profiles and FAQs and did not see anything that would address this problem.

It is becoming prohibitively frustrating posting messages here.

Does anyone else experience this and know how to fix it?

Thank you.

never seen it myself, write in notepad and post once

what browser are you using ?

I am using Explorer 11.

this is what I meant to type.
hello I like posting to MrExcel but the lag is very frustrating to deal with.

this is what it looks like unedited:

All you probably need to do is activate "Compatibility View" for this forum.

From your forum page in IE choose Tools then Compatible View and add the forum. Update the page with F5 key or reload IE. Should resolve your problem.

rollis13's suggestion should definitely fix it. If you search this forum you will find the issue, or very closely related ones, raised a number of times. Example

Well I'm glad that question was asked I have had the same problem for month's but resorted to typing my comments in word pad first and then pasting in to post. Just a side note you have to click on the gear icon top right corner of the page to get to do this.

That's one way, but not the only one. As already alluded to, using Tools -> Compatibility View Settings (from either the Menu bar or the Command bar) is just as good. :)

I was not able to find: Tools -> Compatibility View Settings (from either the Menu bar or the Command bar)
So I saw another post mentioning to use the gear icon.
