PQ is much more user friendly, and can even be taught to "normal people".Just curious, why did you choose PQ over VBA?
In your opinion maybe, but not everyone would agree.PQ is much more user friendly
Are you trying to say that people who write & understand VBA are not normal?can even be taught to "normal people".
Ohhh!! You're right! I hadn't noticed!!Maybe because the question is in the Power Tools section.
Agree to disagree, VBA is a lot more readable due to its similarities to other programming languages.. even my initial exposure to VBA, I could read and understand it to some degree(knowing other languages)PQ is much more user friendly, and can even be taught to "normal people".
"Normal people" don't know any other programming languages. To them, PQ is more intuitive. The Add Column action is a good example of how you can do programming in a way that's not too abstract.Agree to disagree, VBA is a lot more readable due to its similarities to other programming languages.. even my initial exposure to VBA, I could read and understand it to some degree(knowing other languages)
the accepted answer to this question however is going over my head
Not in a statistical sense. How many % of employees in an average organisation can write and understand VBA?In your opinion maybe, but not everyone would agree.

It certainly is, but you can do many things in PQ without having to write any M code. Then what do you think M-code is, if it's not a programming language?
