Tracking Multiple Trends in a Worksheet

I am looking to create a worksheet where I can track trends within a row. There are about 20 different optional trends and each user can pick up to 5 trends per row. However, I want to be able to analyse these trends as a whole in a pivot table (rather than separated as trend 1, trend 2 etc). It does not matter whether a trend has been assigned to the column Trend 1, Trend 2 etc, they all have the same value.

Is there any way I can do this? All help appreciated!
