to sum cells on condition

Hi, Please any one can help me to find the sum of cells on condition and place it to a different cell

I have two worksheets sheet1 and sheet2.
In sheet1 i have following columns(12 columns)

slno date shift Pwono type cores size construction class length remarks status

In sheet2 i have the same columns
if I enter the record in sheet2 the matching row in sheet1 column name Status should updated as "Cleared"

Hi,
I am using this formula for calculating the total of g1 and place the value in the cell D3. I was working in the last month. For this month i created the same sheet and copied the module. Now it is not working or it is not giving any error message.
