I have a table that contains 30 fields. It is possible that any one of the fields can contain the # symbol. I need to create a select query which returns all records which has this symbol in any of the fields.

To start with, I have placed *#* in the criteria row of one of the fields that I know contains this character. However all records were returned????

Any ideas anyone?

Hi mate,

I think the # symbol has special meaning in Access and is used to denote a date field. Using this as your criteria should work:-

Like "*[#]*"
