I can't figure out how to get the sum from a row that has a number followed by text

Example of what i need to sum up

CellA1 CellA2 CellA3 CellA4 CellA5 CellA6=Total A1:A5
1-pri1 2-pri5 3-pri2 1-pri1 1-pri1 8
