Hi all,

I'm trying to ascertain the projected yearly costs between two dates with a third criteria being a Yes Value in a different column but i just cannot get any formulae to work. Is it possible? The between two dates criteria works but when i add the third citeria it just adds a "'" to the start of the formulae. This is what I have with the broken third criteria:

=(SUMIFS(O$2:O402, P$2:P402, ">=01/08/2018", P$2:P402, "<=31/03/2019", A$2:A402, ”YES”)

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
What do you mean it's a blank box? Do you mean an empty cell?

Well if the cell is empty, then it does not contain the word "Yes", which is why the formula returns 0

Found my Solution - I combined my data into one column (showing C1/C2/C3) instead of having sperate C1/C2/C3 "Yes" columns.

=SUMIFS(P$2:P$403, Q$2:Q$403, ">=01/08/2018", Q$2:Q$403, "<=31/03/2019", A2:A$403, "C1")

Solution
Glad you sorted it, but in the future it would help if you gave accurate information. ;)

Which also means it does not contain "Yes" or "C1"etc ;)
