I'm trying to figure out a way to count the number of times items fall under certain conditions based off data from two columns. I've tried DCOUNT, DCOUNTA, COUNTIF, SUMIF formulas and arrays but have had no success. Example is below. Any help would be appreciated and thanks.

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 166pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=221><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 67pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 3254" width=89><COL style="WIDTH: 51pt; Either:

=SUMPRODUCT(--ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Keyboard",$A$2:$A$7)),--($B$2:$B$7="Good"))

Or:

=SUMPRODUCT(--ISNUMBER(SEARCH(E2,$A$2:$A$7)),--($B$2:$B$7=F2))

where E2 = keyboard and F2 = good.

Is there an easy way to ad a range to this? I am using down and distance and would like to pull all ranges from 1-3 yards while looking at third down...

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
My input is football statistics, particularly down and distance(in a range, ie 1-3, 4-6, and 7+) I would also like to be able to add in additional conditions like run or pass and on a range of what yard line the ball is on. For instance, I need to know from this clip below how many plays were ran on 3 DN and 1-3 DIST that are pass plays out of 10 personnel.

I don't know why you omit what the count should be. Maybe something too obvious...

One of:

=COUNTIFS(B:B,3,C:C,">="&1,C:C,"<="&3,F:F,"Pass")

=SUMPRODUCT(--($B$2:$B$100=3),--ISNUMBER(MATCH($C$2:$C$100,{1,2,3},0)),--($F$2:$F$100="Pass"))

This is perfect thank you!
