Good Day all

This is my first post and i am not an "excel engineer" , please bare with me.

Essentially i have a row of cells that needs to be identified if it is larger than a certain amount (x for example )
and then X subtracted from it as many times needed to get it below x.

I then need to add the amount of times i subtracted x to be added to another cell.

I am not sure if this seems to be a junior topic and dont want to irate people but you all look so helpful .

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Is this question resolved? I can see there is some PMing going on here. For general practice, we try to stay away from answering by PM because than no one else with the same question can benefit from the responses.

Hi bschwartz ,

I merely "pm'ed" the same documents that i posted here before i did post it here so that someone else could work on it instead of summize what i am talking about.

As soon as i get a solution that is not posted here or relevant information i will make sure it is posted on this thread.

As of yet i am still struggling with the solution.

Maybe

I deduct 25 from weekly savings and 2 rows down add one to number of coupons. Then I increase value of coupons because I assume when 12 changes to 13 the value changes from 300 to 325. Meanwhile the weekly savings remaining after taking out 25 is carried to next line.

Note the first 2 rows have non standard formula in yellow cells. You can copy the third row down as far as needed

EDIT: My calc must be wrong. If you can double your money by week 14 can I buy into the scheme?

That looks really promising promising.

I think there is some missing information ( like that the coupons expire after 16 weeks and also that some of the weekly savings come to a toal of more than 50 and 2 coupons need to be added to cells down in the relevant column, but im sure these are minor fixes )

Ill post a recent work done on the spreadsheet with notes to help explain what i mean and what the values should look like with a certain initial investment.

I manually calculated the values so they are correct up till row 25.

Thanks for the advice konew1, i will more than likely put in place what ou just mention when i actually figure out what you said. Unfortunately im dafter than Daft-Punk so at this moment ... No idea.

So i understand there is an issue with the download and that makes sense completely but this problem has been resolved by my good friend bewsh1987 and supplied me with a product i can complete further.

If you really want to know the solution you may download the Virus FREE excel file from my shared dropbox link and enjoy the same satisfaction i did with the result and if you scared which is ok no worries im sure the agony of the answer within your grasp will subside in a few yeas XD

Thanks to all that helped
I appreciate it.
