Hi

Is there a way to rearrange data in certain way on a spreadsheet.
Mick was kind enough to help me arrange and group information together which was great.
But what I am looking to do is the following:

I currently have the following data setup



Company JAN 11 FEB 11 MAR 11

ABC 12000 10000 50000
123 20000 57000 1000
456
DEF
XXX
ZZZ


SO I have sales figures by month for each company.

What I need is to have the following



Company Sale Month







so the same data but split into 3 columns,

Any ideas ?

yes I tried the manual method as well same problem occurs its like I can get a break down of three columns but not the 4th which is a category grouping

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
When I try and create the Pivot and use Sum of Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 and break ot down again I get the same result as my initial file. Just do not understand why it is not working?

Insert a column between Customer and Q1. Give it a heading like Temp, in C2 enter the formula =A2&B2 and copy it down. Then follow the pivot table instructions using columns C to G. With the resulting data insert a column and use Text To Columns on column A splitting after the first character and put soe headings in row 1. Partial snapshot of results:

Thank you very much I will try that out, I managed to get a partial way to work which was to add

OutputRange.Cells(OutRow, 4) = SummaryTable.Cells(r, 2)

to the original code which is workable, but your solution is the one I need to try, thank you again!

One thing which is strange is I do not get the layout options when running the wizard?

I am on 2010
