hi
working with Excel 7. seems all sheets have black background, with white fonts. It seems to be a default, in all workbooks. I'm trying to change the background to white with black fonts. using the fill icons does not do anything. how can i make the change in colors, and keep them as defaults.thank you.

Press F11 to open the Visual Basic environment
Press Crl+G to open the immediate window
Type: ?Application.Version
Press Enter
The version will be displayed.

i tried as your suggestion, however i get an error message "reference not valid". thanks for your help.
