I know, I know -- this is an Excel board, but many things on Excel & MSWord are the same.

I have several Formfield text boxes on a form I created. For this example say I have 3 Textboxs, named:

Text1
Text2
Text3

in the properties of the respective textboxes.

My question:
Say I wanted to make Text3 automatically populate with whatever text someone has typed in Textbox1 -- Can this be done WITHOUT a VB Macro, since many people don't trust running a MsWord doc with a macro.

I would think this is possible since the Text1 properties can be set for a default. Thanks

Ok how about this (anyone that is still listening...) Kristy idea would work fine it I could simply press one function key to update ALL of the field codes, instead of having to update them individually -- any ideas?

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Updating Field codes

Blah -- yes I can update them all but it requires unprotecting the sheet, selecting the whole sheet, then pressing F9.

I can't risk people unprotecting the sheet :-(

Excel to the rescue

Well thanks -- but in business too many people don't trust the security of macros, so now I'll just receate the document in Excel, then I can simply use, cellY = cellX -- oh well

Bookmarks and StyleRef are the way I would go.

The only way to get it to update is to highlight the whole document and hit F9.

Or you can do print/preview.

Are the people who will be using your document in your organization? If so, then you can set a signature.
