often I will clear a cells value with an if statement
=if(condition) then, "Action","").
My issue is with the "".
Instead of setting the cell to "" how to I just make it a blank cell?

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
A native Excel formula can't do anything except return a value to the cell in which it appears.

A user-defined function called from a cell can do a few other oddities, but can't change the contents of another cell.

THEN WHY DOES THIS WORK?

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Range("I11").Value > 0 Then
Range("L11").Value = "ok"
End If
End Sub

That is neither an Excel function, nor a user defined function.
It's a worksheet event.
