Hello

I have a problem. I would like to select various cells in one column and then move them to the next column in the same row.

The size of the spreadsheet will change with each use.

Example: the words Balance Forward Appear in cells I11, I23, I34, I36, I42. and so on. They need to be in column J (same cell numbers).

I googled this and could not find a solution that worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Mark

The only columns that have anything in the rows with Balance Forward is A, D (these need to stay) and L which needs to move to column M

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
In that case how about
Code:
Sub Mldeuser()
   With Range("I2", Range("I" & Rows.Count))
      .Replace "Balance Forward", True, xlWhole, , False, , False, False
      With .SpecialCells(xlConstants, xlLogical)
         .Insert xlToRight
         .Value = "Balance Forward"
      End With
   End With
End Sub

Can I bother you again with one more question. Can this be modified to only move the value found in Column L to Column M while leaving Balance Forward in Column I

      With .SpecialCells(xlConstants, xlLogical)
         .Offset(, 1).Insert xlToRight
         .Value = "Balance Forward"
      End With
   End With
End Sub

My apologies for this instance there are values in columns N and O that need to stay

That will need a different approach, so best start a new thread, giving all the details
