Hi all. I have research around the internet and finally found out Macro able to solve my issue. But im totally not a programmer. Hopefully someone can help me on this.

I will scan QR Code with a scanner to cell A1 and wanted cell C1 to have date and time stamp for IN. When Scanner scan the same QR Code, D1 will have date and time stamp for out. If repeat third time scanning the same QR code after a few scanning, it will appear on next row. Which means A8 with the code and C8 with date and time stamp for IN again.

Is that possible to done with Macro?

mddrexel,

Welcome to the MrExcel forum. Thank you

1. What version of Excel, and, Windows are you using? we are using Excel 2010

2. Are you using a PC or a Mac? on a PC

Based on your description, screenshots will probably not work correctly.

To start off, and, so that we can get it right on the first try:

I would like to see your actual raw data workbook/worksheet(s). I'll try it

The following is a free site:

You can upload your workbook to (the BLUE link-->) Box Net ,
sensitive data changed
mark the workbook for sharing
and provide us with a link to your workbook.

Thank You!

Excel Facts

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
mddrexel,

Your link to BOX is asking for an Email Address, and, a Password????

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong here, the file is set to share without a password to anybody with the link, is there any other way I can share this with you?
it is small, only 18 kb

mddrexel,

Your link to BOX is still asking for an Email Address, and, a Password.

Can you try reposting your workbook?

mddrexel,

Thanks for the workbook.

I have found that some people have been changing the times to make it look like their entries were done at different times. is there any way to lock the time entries once they are made?

I have not been able to modify the Worksheet_Change event code to accomplish your latest request.

Click on the Reply to Thread button, and just put the word BUMP in the thread. Then, click on the Post Quick Reply button, and someone else will assist you.

You have posted a screenshot as an IMG, that contains merged cells in the title row/rows.

3. What should the date and time format be for columns B, and, H?

When you add something to a cell in column A, the Worksheet Change Event will fill in the date and time in column B of the same row.

4. What cell, or range of cells, in the row, should trigger the date and time entry in column H?

I always like to test a macro with an actual workbook/worksheet, or screenshots (but, not IMG images).

With that said, and, so that I can get it right on the first try, can we see your actual raw data workbook/worksheet?

You can post your workbook/worksheets to the following free site (sensitive data changed), and provide us with a link to your workbook:
