running macro on a worksheet that is not macro enabled?

Hello - I have a PC in my work area with a stripped MS Excel which does NOT open/run worksheets with macros. (Rahter, it will open the workbook, but it will strip the macros from it.) I do use a shared office PC that has the fully licensed Excel and it has full capabilities.

My question is:

I have built a workbork with macros, but if I want to update any information on it from my work area pc, and then save it, it strips the macros. Is there a way to work around this? Can I run macros on sheets that are not macro enabled? Some other way?

Thanks for your help - Jim A

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.

No. Macros need to be enabled, otherwise, as you found, they get stripped out.

Not sure if you save the file as .xls, rather than .xlsx, but you could try that approach?

As Ford was saying, you can't run macros on a non-macro enabled workbook.

If you are working with 2007+ you have to save the file with embedded macros as .xlsm or simple as .xls for a 97-2003 format.

ok, thanks!
I guess my next attempts would be to make a macro that grabs or merges data from the non macro enable worksheet. I enter most my data on the non macro pc....bummer.
