I need to use an add-in that automatically selects the R1C1 reference style. The company that made the add-in says that we should uncheck the box to disable this behavior. I'm not sure why they did that in the add-in if they say to uncheck it. Does anyone know of a VBA that will uncheck R1C1 when I open Excel automatically?

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Run this in the addin open event:

VBA Code:
Application.ReferenceStyle = xlA1

If you are talking about the add in that I got from then I cant edit it as it is password protected. I do have a separate VBA project that is a macro on my computer

Then place that code in the Workbook_Open event of the workbook(s) that use the addin.
